At Nicholson Ridge I take wooden bowls of various sizes and styles,
plaques, wall hangings, magnets, ornaments and more - wood burn and
stain them with watercolor paint. Each item is unique, no two are exactly
alike. Kenneth Nicholson, Brenda Nicholson (that's me), Earl Rice or
Harold Crook hand turns wooded bowls that are made from a single piece
of wood. Then I design them into individual works of art. I burn the
designs into the wood and then stain with watercolors. They are then
sealed with three (3) coats of water based polyurethane. Each bowl takes
3 to 20 hours to complete. Wall hangings are made from local wood. Kenneth
cuts the wood and then I plane it and then decorate it with woodburning
and painting. I also wood burn plaques, ornanaments, and magnets. I
have been doing pyrography since June 2000. I am a self taught artist.
Shown are designs that I have done in the past. I may
not have this exact item. If you will email me your request I will check
my stock and if I do not have this item, I can put it on a bowl, or
plaque for you.
